METRO INDY YOUTH HOCKEY COUNSEL DISCIPLINARY AGREEMENT

To promote good sportsmanship and foster a positive atmosphere among the Indy youth hockey organizations, all coaches, players, parents, and spectators will uphold the rules and regulations set forth by the USA Hockey Code of Conduct and its Zero Tolerance Policy. A copy of the Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy will be provided to anyone upon request.

A disciplinary board (the Metro Indy Youth Hockey Counsel) will govern any incident that occurs before, during, or after any practice or game. The Metro Indy Youth Hockey Counsel will consist of one representative from each of the four metro Indy youth hockey organizations and one representative from the Indianapolis Hockey Officials Association. In the event that an incident must be reviewed by the Metro Indy Youth Hockey Counsel, the organization(s) that the involved person(s)/player(s) is a member of will present their findings to the other board members for review. The remaining organizations will then discuss the need for disciplinary action for those involved in the incident. Disciplinary action (if needed) will then be decided, and made known to the organization leaders of the accused person(s). Disciplinary action could result in a suspension for any given number of games (applies to both players and spectators), or, in the worst case scenario, removal of that person from the organization.

The player(s) or spectator(s) are obligated to conform to any disciplinary action put into place by the Counsel. Refusal to comply with the Counsel’s decision will result in further disciplinary action, up to removal from his/her organization.

All decisions made by the Metro Indy Youth Hockey Counsel will be final. There will be no further review by the Counsel after the disciplinary decision has been agreed upon by the deciding members of the Metro Indy Youth Hockey Counsel.

Children are involved in organized sports for their enjoyment. By showing a positive attitude toward the game and all of its participants, your child will benefit from all that our sport has to offer.

This process is agreed to by the following representatives of each hockey organization:
